Bryan Carrigan is a music editor, engineer, producer and electronic music composer. He has been involved in Emmy winning TV shows, Oscar nominated films, and Grammy winning albums. Most recently, Bryan was nominated for an Emmy for his work on The Mysterious Benedict Society and also nominated for an album of the year Grammy on Childish Gambino's, Awaken, My Love!
Growing up in the 80's, Bryan loved playing piano, trumpet, and violin but when he discovered synthesizers and recording at age 15, it sparked an interest in the technology and production side of music. Overdubbing on a four-track cassette, making sound effects with a radio shack mic & stomp box, and using an analog synth to recreate the sounds he heard on the radio was his kind of fun.
After music and recording school, Bryan started in Atlanta where he was lucky enough to assist on Boys II Men's debut album, which turned out to be a massive success. He then moved to Los Angeles to work for Westlake Audio where he learned recording, mixing, production, and editing techniques from the absolute best producers and engineers in the business. He worked with artists as diverse as Quincy Jones, Frank Sinatra, Alanis Morrisette, No Doubt, Aerosmith, and Seal to name a few and has been awarded over a dozen gold and platinum records.
Around 2000, Bryan started working in film and television, helping composers with the recording & editing of orchestral scores, synth & drum programming, and ultimately music editing which was a natural fit. With 30 years of Pro Tools experience, he has seen it evolve from a simple two track editing tool to the industry standard writing, recording, and mixing solution that it is today. Bryan has over 850 IMDB credits in TV and film and brings his passion for music to every project.
